Peter flew with Richard E. Mullaney on the B-17s during World War Two. He was stationed at Thorpe Abbotts Airfield in England. I met Peter while I was working on the Airman book. He was kind enough to share some of his experiences with me and answer a lot of questions. Peter is also mentioned in the book. I did not have a chance to know him very well but he was very kind to help me with my research.
Peter was born in the Bronx, New York in 1921. He died in Elmwood Park, New Jersey on May 25, 2009. He leaves his wife Lillian and five chidren. For 39 years he was employed by the United States Post Office.
Rest in peace Peter and thank you so very much for all you did for this country during the war.
